An Argentinian waiter named Braian Nahuel Paiz has broken his silence regarding the tragic death of singer Liam Payne. Paiz, who has been identified in an ongoing police investigation, denies any wrongdoing in relation to Payne’s sudden passing on October 16.
Paiz, 24, admitted to meeting with Payne twice at a hotel in Buenos Aires, where they consumed drugs together. However, he maintains that he did not supply the late singer with narcotics or accept any money from him.
According to Paiz, Payne initiated contact with him at his place of work, and they later met up at his hotel. He claims that Payne was already under the influence of drugs when they first interacted and did not consume any food during their encounters.
The waiter also revealed that Payne showed him some of the music he was working on and that they spent time together on two separate occasions. Paiz insists that Payne was kind and not aggressive during their interactions, and he has text messages to support his claims.
Paiz mentioned that Payne wanted to give him clothes as a memento of their time together, but he declined the offer. Their last meeting was on October 13, after which Paiz had to leave for work, and that was the final time he saw the singer.
As a result of the ongoing investigation, Paiz has reportedly lost his job. He is the second person to be connected to Payne’s death, with local police also naming Payne’s close friend Rogelio “Roger” Nores as one of the individuals under scrutiny.
The Post has reached out to Argentinian authorities and Payne’s estate for further comments on the matter. The investigation into Payne’s death is still ongoing, and more details are expected to emerge as the case unfolds.
