Kolisi leads Springbok bolstered Sharks but still missing Eben

The Sharks have announced their lineup for the upcoming clash against the Bulls in the United Rugby Championship, with Siya Kolisi leading the team onto the field. The team is boosted by the return of several Springboks, including Ox Nche, Vincent Koch, Makazole Mapimpi, Andre Esterhuizen, and Aphelele Fassi.

However, the Sharks will be without the services of key players such as Eben Etzebeth, Bongi Mbonambi, Lukhanyo Am, and Grant Williams due to injuries. Despite these setbacks, the team still boasts a formidable lineup, with players like Phepsi Buthelzi, Emmanuel Tshituka, Jason Jenkins, Jordan Hendrikse, and Ethan Hooker stepping up to fill the void.

The Sharks are determined to bounce back from a tough loss in the European Rugby Champions Cup and are fully focused on securing a victory in front of their home crowd. The players understand the importance of winning home games in the competition and are eager to make Kings Park a fortress for visiting teams.

Andre Esterhuizen emphasized the significance of playing at home, highlighting the support of the fans and the challenging conditions that make Durban a tough place for opponents. The Sharks’ XV for the game includes Aphelele Fassi, Yaw Penxe, Ethan Hooker, Andre Esterhuizen, Makazole Maphimpi, Jordan Hendrikse, Jaden Hendrikse, Siya Kolisi, Emmanuel Tshituka, Phepsi Buthelezi, Emile van Heerden, Jason Jenkins, Vincent Koch, Dylan Richardson, and Ox Nche. The bench features talented players like Ruan Dreyer, Trevor Nyakane, Siya Masuku, and Jurenzo Julius, ready to make an impact when called upon.
