McDonald’s Drive-thru Shooting
This incident follows a similar tragedy at a McDonald’s restaurant in Gauteng, where a six-year-old boy was fatally shot. The child was hit by a bullet while seated in a car with his parents at a McDonald’s drive-thru in Brickfield, Meadowdale.

Police launched a manhunt for the individuals involved in the shooting, as two accomplices were also robbing the McDonald’s store at the time. A case of murder and business robbery was opened, with ongoing investigations into the matter.
