She captioned the video with a reassuring message, stating, “TikTok may be temporary, but TiK ToK is forever,” accompanied by a peace sign and black heart emoji.
“Tik Tok” was a massive hit when it was released, spending nine weeks at the top of the Billboard Hot 100 chart. Kesha even performed the song in Oakland, California in 2023, where she made a notable change to the opening line of the song. Instead of singing, “Wake up in the morning feeling like P. Diddy,” she switched it to “Wake up in the morning feeling just like me.” This alteration came after singer Cassie filed a lawsuit against Diddy in November 2023, accusing him of sexual assault and abuse.
Since Cassie’s lawsuit, other individuals have come forward with allegations against Diddy. Despite the allegations, Diddy has denied them and is currently incarcerated at the Metropolitan Detention Center in New York. Kesha further solidified her stance by changing the opening line of “Tik Tok” during her 2024 Coachella set to, “Wake up in the mornin’ like f—k P.
