The event, scheduled to take place from the 24th to 27th June 2025 at the Midrand Conference Centre, promises to be a transformative experience for all attendees.
Organised by Africa Tourism Partners in collaboration with UN Tourism, AfCFTA, and BDO, the Summit is set to bring together global industry thought leaders to share their insights on innovation in the tourism sector. Hosted by South African Tourism, with support from essential partners such as the Namibia Tourism Board, Mercure Hotel Midrand, Reserved Suites, and Inani Hotel, as well as Kenya Airways as the official airline partner, the Summit aims to drive positive change in Africa’s tourism landscape.
Distinguished speakers lined up for the event include UN Tourism Secretary General H.E. Zurab Pololikashvili, UN Tourism Director Elcia Grandcourt, UN Tourism Executive Director Natalia Bayona, South African Tourism’s Chief Strategy Officer Siyabonga Mthethwa, and other industry leaders from around the world.
The Summit will also feature the Africa Youth in Tourism Innovation Challenge, where the top 20 finalists are currently undergoing a boot camp to fine-tune their projects before the Pitch Battle scheduled for the 24th of June 2025. Participants can look forward to engaging in MICE Masterclasses, B2B sessions, speed marketing, one-on-one meetings, career guidance clinics, and brand activation activities throughout the event.
With a high number of registrations from participants worldwide, pre-accreditation has begun for both physical and virtual attendees. Limited exhibition spots are still available for booking on the Summit’s website, along with options for flights, accommodation, and various activities. Pre and post-Summit tour packages are also available for those looking to explore more of the region.
