Jay-Z and Diddy’s Rape Accuser Speaks Out: Mistakes in Story Prompt Legal Action
The woman who accused Jay-Z and Diddy of rape is now speaking out for the first time about the allegations. However, some inconsistencies in her story have led Jay-Z to ask a judge to dismiss the case, according to TMZ.
In an interview with NBC News, the woman, who filed as a Jane Doe and claims she was 13 at the time of the alleged rape, detailed the events that took place at a 2000 MTV VMAs after-party. She mentioned a limo ride to Diddy’s house and a drink that made her feel woozy before the alleged assault.
Despite stating that the incident had a devastating impact on her life, she also admitted to several discrepancies in her allegations. For example, she claimed to have spoken to Benji Madden at the after-party, but Benji has refuted this as he wasn’t in NYC at the time. Additionally, she said her father picked her up from the party, but he does not recall doing so.
While she maintains the overall accusation, Jay-Z and his attorney, Alex Spiro, have seized on these inconsistencies and filed documents challenging the validity of her claims. Spiro described her accusation as a “sham” and pointed out that key details in her narrative are incorrect.
The woman’s lawyer, Tony Buzbee, has also come under scrutiny for allegedly failing to conduct a thorough investigation before filing the complaint. Spiro intends to file a motion to dismiss the case in response to these developments.
Diddy’s legal team echoed similar sentiments, emphasizing that multiple individuals have falsely claimed to be victims in cases represented by Buzbee. They believe this revelation signals the beginning of the end for what they perceive as a money-grabbing scheme.
Despite attempts to reach out to Buzbee for comment, there has been no response thus far.
