Man Declared Dead in India Found Alive Moments Before Cremation
A shocking incident unfolded in India this week when a 25-year-old man, Rohitash Kumar, who was declared dead and about to be cremated, was found to be still alive by witnesses. The incident took place in a hospital in the state of Rajasthan in northwestern India, as reported by The Times of India.
Kumar, who was deaf and mute, was pronounced dead at the Bhagwan Das Khetan district hospital without a post-mortem examination. He had suffered an epileptic seizure and was declared dead after flatlining while doctors were performing CPR on him, according to the Daily Mail.
However, as Kumar was about to be cremated on Thursday afternoon, his family discovered that he was still breathing. They rushed him back to the hospital, where he tragically passed away early Friday morning.
A witness at the funeral pyre described the situation as nothing short of a miracle, stating, “We all were in shock. He was declared dead, but there he was, breathing and alive.”
Ramavtar Meena, a government official in Rajasthan’s Jhunjhunu district, condemned the incident as “serious negligence” and assured that action would be taken against those responsible. He mentioned that a committee had been formed to investigate the matter.
The incident has sparked outrage and calls for accountability in the medical community, highlighting the need for proper protocols and procedures to prevent such grave errors in the future.
