Ghanaian highlife music icon Akosua Agyapong has recently addressed the rumors surrounding her age, clarifying that she is not 70 years old as many had assumed. In a recent statement, she acknowledged that her extensive career in the music industry may have led people to believe she is older than she actually is.

The veteran musician explained that when fans meet her, they often mention that they have been listening to her music since childhood. This has inadvertently fueled the misconception that she has been in the industry for a much longer period than she actually has. Akosua expressed her desire for people to recognize her true age and to stop assuming that she is older than she really is.

In response to Akosua’s clarification, social media users shared their reactions. Abiko commented, “Yes oooo, my mum is 79, and she always says you are older than her.” Rita Ntow praised Akosua’s timeless beauty, stating, “Nobody is talking about her beauty! 😍 African black magic, ageless!! 😍🥰🥰🥰🥰 I tap into your blessing, Mum.”

Another user, AkuaComely, remarked, “Seriously, you don’t look 55; you’re blessed 🥰.” A playful comment came from a user who joked, “Wei de3 Akosua Agyapong woboa—I listened to your music in 1921.” Abena_OdeibeaAmoah also chimed in, saying, “55 years and you’re beautiful like this 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰 then you are blessed.”

Akosua Agyapong’s statement serves as a reminder that age is just a number, and her music continues to resonate with fans of all ages. Her legacy in the Ghanaian music industry remains strong, and she looks forward to many more years of creating and sharing her music with the world.
