Light snow is in the forecast for metro Denver tonight, with some areas along the eastern Interstate 70 corridor expected to receive up to a foot of fresh powder. The National Weather Service is predicting that most of the snow in Denver will fall before midnight, with less than an inch of accumulation expected.

However, additional snowfall of an inch or two is possible on Wednesday and Thursday in the Denver area. The brunt of the storm is likely to hit areas like Evergreen, Castle Rock, Limon, and Burlington. Residents of Evergreen and Castle Rock can anticipate 6 to 8 inches of snow through Thursday evening, while communities further east could see 8 to 12 inches, according to NWS snow predictions.

The Colorado Department of Transportation is warning that the storm could impact driving conditions, especially on Interstate 25 south of Denver and the I-70 mountain corridor. Travelers are advised to be prepared for winter weather conditions and to exercise caution while driving.
