Authorities are urging 24-year-old Thato David Madisha and Sello “Skhalo” Uoane to turn themselves in at the nearest police station as they are wanted suspects in the case of the murdered journalist Aserie Ndlovu and his partner Zodwa Mdhluli.
The couple went missing in February under mysterious circumstances after leaving their Mpumalanga home in a white Volkswagen Citi Golf. Police suspect that the two wanted individuals may have been involved in or have information regarding the alleged kidnapping and killing of the couple.
Brigadier Athlenda Mathe emphasized the importance of the suspects voluntarily surrendering, stating that while tracking teams are actively searching for them, it is in their best interest to cooperate with authorities.
Of particular concern is Uoane’s criminal history, as he is currently out on parole for a previous rape conviction.
Individuals with any knowledge of the whereabouts of Madisha and Uoane or any related information are urged to contact investigating officer Lieutenant Colonel Maboko at 0720302794.
5 in the dock
If apprehended, Madisha and Uoane will join five others who have already been arrested in connection with the case. The suspects were located in villages in KwaMhlanga, Mpumalanga, and now face a range of charges including kidnapping, carjacking, house robbery, possession of suspected stolen property, possession of a suspected stolen motor vehicle, and drug possession.
During the investigation, two VW Citi Golfs, believed to have components from Ndlovu’s car, were recovered, along with various appliances allegedly taken from the couple’s residence.
