Accra, Sept. 5, GNA – The Bukom Arena in Accra will host the 2025 Global Warrior Champions Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) event on Friday, September 19, 2025, promising an exhilarating night of battles for survival.
Main Event Showdown
Ghana’s Emmanuel Lamptey is set to face off against Nigeria’s Ben Bazi in the night’s main event, a middleweight bout that is expected to be intense as both fighters vie for supremacy.
Promoting Local Talent
Speaking at the media launch in Accra, Mr Jeffery Taylor, President of the Mixed Martial Arts Association of Ghana, emphasized the importance of showcasing local talent on a global stage.
“The MMA sport is rapidly growing in popularity worldwide, and this event is a platform to promote our local talent, especially those who may not have the opportunity to compete internationally,” he stated.

Mr Taylor expressed gratitude to major sponsor Decathlon for their support and encouraged other sponsors to join in promoting the sport.
Events Manager at Decathlon, Mr Thompson Agbodo, highlighted the importance of supporting MMA events to raise awareness and ensure the safety of participants with quality equipment.
