Full List of CAF Awards 2024 Winners

The recent CAF Awards ceremony in Marrakesh, Morocco, was a glittering affair where Africa’s top football talents of 2024 were honored by the Confederation of African Football (CAF). Let’s take a look at some of the key winners from the event:

CAF Player of the Year (Men): Ademola Lookman from Nigeria, who plays for Atalanta, was crowned as the best male player in Africa.

CAF Player of the Year (Women): Barbra Banda, hailing from Zambia and representing Orlando Pride, clinched the title of the best female player on the continent.

In the goalkeeper category, Ronwen Williams from South Africa’s Mamelodi Sundowns was named the CAF Goalkeeper of the Year for men, while Chiamaka Nnadozie from Nigeria’s Paris FC received the same honor in the women’s category.

Other notable winners included Lamine Camara from Senegal’s AS Monaco and Doha El Madani from Morocco’s AS FAR, who were named the CAF Young Players of the Year for men and women, respectively.

The coaching accolades went to Emerse Fae from Cote d’Ivoire and Lamia Boumehdi from TP Mazembe for the best male and female coaches, respectively.

National teams and clubs were also recognized, with Cote d’Ivoire and Nigeria winning the titles of CAF National Team of the Year for men and women, respectively. Al Ahly from Egypt and TP Mazembe from DR Congo were named the CAF Club of the Year for men and women.

The referees and assistant referees were not left out, with Mutaz Ibrahim from Libya and Bouchra Karboubi from Morocco winning the titles of CAF Referee of the Year for men and women, and Elvis Guy Noupue Nguegoue from Cameroon and Diana Chikotesha from Zambia named as the CAF Assistant Referees of the Year for men and women.

Lastly, the CAF Goal of the Year award went to Mabululu from Angola for his outstanding goal.

The event was a true celebration of African football talent and showcased the immense skill and dedication of the players, coaches, and officials who continue to elevate the sport on the continent.
