Liverpool continued their impressive run in the English Premier League with a convincing 2-0 victory over Manchester City at Anfield. The win extended their lead at the top of the table, with goals from Cody Gakpo and Mohamed Salah securing the three points.

The home side took the lead in the 11th minute through a well-worked counterattack. Gakpo was on hand to tap in a pass from Salah, putting Liverpool ahead. Salah then doubled the lead in the second half from the penalty spot after Luis Diaz was brought down by City goalkeeper Stefan Ortega.

The result marked Manchester City’s fourth consecutive defeat in the Premier League and their seventh winless match in all competitions. The gap between Liverpool and second-placed Arsenal now stands at nine points, with City trailing by 11 points.

In other Sunday fixtures, Manchester United put on a dominant display against Everton, winning 4-0 at Old Trafford. New manager Ruben Amorim enjoyed his second victory at the helm, with Armad Diallo delivering a standout performance with two assists. Marcus Rashford and Joshua Zirkzee both scored braces, while Armad and Bruno Fernandes provided two assists each.

Meanwhile, Chelsea continued their good form with a comfortable victory over Aston Villa at Stamford Bridge. Goals from Nicolas Jackson, Enzo Fernandez, and Cole Palmer secured the win for Enzo Maresca’s side, extending their unbeaten run to six matches. Chelsea now sit in third place in the league, level on points and goal difference with Arsenal in second.

Lastly, Fulham battled to a 1-1 draw against Tottenham Hotspur despite being reduced to 10 men. The result saw Fulham pick up a valuable point against a strong Spurs side.
