EMERGING Valley 2024: A Hub for Innovation and Investment
EMERGING Valley, an international summit held annually in Aix-Marseille-Provence, is set to host its 8th edition on December 3, 2024. Aix-Marseille-Provence, recently elected European Capital of Innovation, will be the backdrop for this event, which aims to strengthen ties between Europe and Africa through innovation and investment.
Supported by key partners such as the Aix-Marseille-Provence Metropolis, the Euroméditerranée Public Development Agency, and the City of Marseille, EMERGING Valley serves as a catalyst for digital innovations and strategic investments in the region.
Focus on Financing Tech Startups & Innovation
One of the central themes of the 2024 edition of EMERGING Valley is the financing of innovation and startups, especially in a time of global economic uncertainty. The summit will bring together tech leaders, investors, and entrepreneurs from Europe, Africa, and beyond to discuss new financing mechanisms and opportunities for collaboration.
Notable investors expected to attend include Corinne AMORI BRUNET, Ambassador of Benin in France, and Yves CABANAC, General Manager France at Plug and Play Tech Center, among others.
Diverse Themes at the Heart of Digital Transition
Besides financing, EMERGING Valley 2024 will explore a variety of topics such as promoting a positive Mediterranean narrative, artificial intelligence for sustainable development, and innovations in Europe-Africa e-health. The summit will also focus on collaborations in cultural and creative industries between Europe and Africa.
Exciting Initiatives at EMERGING Valley 2024
One of the key initiatives at the summit is the Soft-Landing Provence Africa Connect program, which aims to support highly innovative African startups with international growth potential in expanding their operations in the region. Additionally, the Provence Africa Connect competition will recognize projects with a positive economic impact on Africa.
South Africa will be in the spotlight at the 2024 edition of EMERGING Valley, following the focus on Kenya in the previous year. The summit will take place across two iconic venues in Marseille and at thecamp, an innovation campus designed to foster collaboration and innovation.
