Police in Queens are on the lookout for a heartless individual who viciously kicked an elderly woman down the stairs of a subway station in Jackson Heights-Roosevelt Avenue. The incident occurred at 11:13 p.m. on a Saturday night when the 72-year-old woman was making her way up the staircase and was suddenly kicked from behind by the stranger, causing her to fall backward and tumble down the stairs.

The unprovoked attack left the victim severely bruised, and she was rushed to NYC Health and Hospital/Elmhurst for medical treatment. The NYPD released surveillance images of the suspect, who is believed to have fled on a northbound F train following the assault. The photos show a dark-haired man wearing a black jacket, red shirt, blue jeans, and black and white Nike sneakers.

According to reports, the attacker did not utter a word before kicking the unsuspecting woman down the staircase. Despite the release of the suspect’s images, no arrests have been made as of Monday. Authorities are urging anyone with information about the incident or the whereabouts of the suspect to come forward and assist in the investigation.

The shocking and senseless attack has sparked outrage and concern among the community, with many expressing their support for the victim and their hope for swift justice to be served. The incident serves as a reminder of the importance of staying vigilant and looking out for one another, especially in public spaces where such acts of violence can occur.
