Dr. Mehmet Oz, a well-known physician and former TV host, has taken on a new role as the head of the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services. This position puts him in charge of overseeing healthcare programs that serve approximately half of all Americans. In a recent interview with White House Bureau Chief Dasha Burns, Dr. Oz discussed a range of topics, including potential cuts to Medicaid, his plans to lower drug prices, and his interactions with President Donald Trump.

One of the key issues Dr. Oz addressed was the possibility of Medicaid cuts. As the head of CMS, he will play a crucial role in shaping the future of these programs. Dr. Oz emphasized the importance of ensuring that all Americans have access to quality healthcare, and he expressed his commitment to finding solutions that will benefit patients across the country.

In addition to discussing healthcare policy, Dr. Oz also shared his advice for patients. He encouraged individuals to take an active role in their own health by asking questions and staying informed. Dr. Oz stressed the importance of being curious about one’s health and advocated for a proactive approach to healthcare.

In a separate segment of the podcast, senior political columnist Jonathan Martin delved into the Ohio governor’s race, highlighting the involvement of prominent figures such as Elon Musk, Vivek Ramaswamy, and former Ohio State football coach Jim Tressel. This unique combination of personalities has made the race particularly intriguing, and Martin provided valuable insights into the dynamics at play.

Finally, senior legal affairs reporter Kyle Cheney discussed the ongoing showdown between President Trump and the courts over his “Liberation Day” tariffs. This legal battle has significant implications for trade policy and has drawn attention from experts across the political spectrum.
