Dear Dr. David Tenkorang-Twum,

I hope this message finds you well.

As a concerned citizen of Ghana, I have been following your media engagements closely and I must say that I have some reservations about your approach. It seems that at every opportunity, you are quick to criticize and attack the Health Minister. While it is important to hold our leaders accountable, it is equally important to do so with respect and maturity.

Leadership is a skill that can be acquired and honed over time. Looking back at past General Secretaries of the GMA such as Dr. Frank Serebour, Dr. Justice Yankson, and Prof. Titus Beyuo, we can see how they handled challenges with grace and professionalism. They engaged the media with intellect and maturity, never resorting to personal attacks or public criticism of their superiors.

As someone with a PhD, you have undoubtedly received training in leadership and community engagement. It is important to remember that your role as General Secretary of GRNMA is to represent the interests of your members and engage constructively with stakeholders, including the Health Minister. Your approach in media engagements should reflect this professionalism and respect.

I urge you to take a cue from the recent press release by the GMA regarding the incident at Ridge Hospital. This is how a professional body addresses issues in the media – with dignity and respect.

Remember, you are not the president of all intellectuals in Ghana. Your role is to serve the members of GRNMA and advance their interests in a professional and respectful manner.

I believe that with some adjustments to your communication style, you can become a more effective leader for your association. I hope you will consider this feedback and strive to engage with others in a more constructive and respectful manner.
