Barcelona’s Robert Lewandowski put on a stellar performance, scoring twice as his team secured a commanding 5-2 victory over Crvena Zvezda in an exciting Champions League clash on Wednesday.

In the first half, Red Star’s Ndiaye missed a crucial opportunity to put his team ahead, and Barcelona capitalized on the mistake. Just before halftime, Lewandowski scored his third Champions League goal of the season, tapping in a rebound from Raphinha’s shot off the post.

Barcelona extended their lead early in the second half, with Lewandowski finding the back of the net again in the 53rd minute. Raphinha added another goal just two minutes later, making it 4-1 in favor of Barcelona. Fermin Lopez then scored a fifth goal late in the match, hitting the crossbar and forcing Red Star’s keeper Ilic to make a fine save.

Despite the deficit, Crvena Zvezda continued to press and were rewarded with a consolation goal in the 84th minute when Milson curled in a shot to make it 5-2.

Looking ahead, Barcelona’s victory moves them up to sixth in the standings as they prepare to face Brest in their next fixture. On the other hand, Crvena Zvezda remains second from the bottom, still in search of their first points as they gear up to take on German club Stuttgart.

The thrilling match between Barcelona and Crvena Zvezda showcased Lewandowski’s scoring prowess and Barcelona’s dominance on the field. Fans can look forward to more exciting performances from both teams as they continue their Champions League campaign.
