MSC Cruises Mourns Death of Guest Due to Heart Attack

Tragedy struck on a recent cruise to the Portuguese Island in Mozambique as a guest onboard suffered a fatal heart attack. MSC Cruises confirmed the unfortunate incident, revealing that the deceased was traveling with a friend at the time.

While the identity of the guest remains private out of respect for their family, MSC Cruises expressed their deepest condolences and assured that all necessary support is being provided to the bereaved during this difficult time.

The heartbreaking event occurred during the voyage from Durban to Portuguese Island on 17 January 2025. Despite the swift response from the crew and medical team onboard, the passenger succumbed to the heart attack.

Witnesses on the cruise reported seeing the individual being airlifted by helicopter after the incident. The sight of the covered guest being taken away left a somber atmosphere among those who were present.

The Cruise Experience

The four-night cruise from Durban to Pomene in Mozambique is known for its diverse mix of guests and exciting activities. While details about the deceased remain undisclosed, the cruise continued as scheduled with most passengers enjoying the journey.
