The Ghana Police Service has taken a decisive step by interdicting General Lance Corporal Shani Abdullai for being in possession of restricted pharmaceutical substances. Lance Corporal Abdullai is currently stationed at Kpalsi, a suburb of Tamale in the Northern Region.

According to a press release from the Public Affairs Directorate, the interdiction of Lance Corporal Abdullai is necessary to facilitate a thorough investigation into his conduct, in accordance with Police Service regulations. The possession of restricted pharmaceutical substances is a serious offense that requires immediate action to maintain the integrity and professionalism of the police force.

Restricted pharmaceutical substances are medications that have special controls on access, use, or distribution due to their potential for abuse, misuse, or health risks. These substances have limitations on prescribing, dispensing, purchasing, as well as requirements for storage and record-keeping to ensure their proper handling and prevent any illicit activities.

The interdiction of Lance Corporal Abdullai serves as a reminder of the strict regulations and ethical standards that members of the police force are expected to uphold. It also highlights the commitment of the Ghana Police Service to ensuring transparency, accountability, and integrity within its ranks.
