“This is my job. I don’t have another job. I have a small business that I run, but this is my main job,” Leagen Wayans shared.

He added that the payment could help content creators like him afford better equipment and software to create even more engaging content.

“I’m sure if you tell all the content creators in South Africa that TikTok is going to start paying them, everyone’s going to up their game,” he said.

Malatsi commended content creators for their hard work and creativity, saying they are a critical part of the digital economy and should be remunerated for their contributions.

“We cannot allow a situation where the value of African creativity is not properly recognised and remunerated,” he said.

He urged TikTok to follow suit and extend its Creator Fund to African creators, including those in South Africa.

“The time has come for African creators to be justly rewarded for their creativity and hard work. The time has come for TikTok to pay up,” Malatsi concluded.

Hello and welcome to all my new followers! I am thrilled to have you here with me on this journey. My name is [Your Name], and I am a content creator based in South Africa. I love sharing snippets of my life in the village, showcasing the beauty of rural life, and indulging in my passion for cooking.

In the world of social media, it can be challenging to stand out and make a sustainable income. Many South African content creators, including myself, rely on collaborations with brands to generate revenue. However, the competition is fierce, and securing campaigns can be sporadic. As Leagen Wayans aptly puts it, “You don’t get much money from brands because, remember, there’s a lot of us. You only get campaigns probably one at a time, or sometimes there’s a drought; some months you don’t have enough for a living.”

Despite the challenges, I have had the opportunity to collaborate with some fantastic brands in the past. These partnerships not only allow me to showcase their products but also provide me with the means to continue creating content that I love. It’s a delicate balance of creativity and business savvy that keeps me motivated and inspired.

If you’re curious about life in South Africa, village living, or cooking up a storm in the kitchen, you’ve come to the right place. Join me on this adventure as we explore the beauty of rural life, share delicious recipes, and connect with like-minded individuals who appreciate the simple joys of everyday living.

Thank you for joining me on this journey, and I look forward to getting to know each and every one of you. Stay tuned for more exciting content, collaborations, and heartfelt moments shared straight from my corner of the world. Let’s make memories together and celebrate the beauty of life in all its forms.

With love and gratitude,
[Your Name]
