RCI Hospitality Holdings Co. to Close Cherry Creek Food Hall & Brewery
After purchasing Cherry Creek Food Hall & Brewery for $5.2 million two years ago, Houston-based RCI Hospitality Holdings Co. has announced plans to close the business on November 30. The decision was shared in a Facebook post, marking the end of an era for the popular Denver establishment.
The food hall was originally founded by well-known Denver chef and restaurateur Troy Guard in 2021 and was known as Grange Hall. The space housed several of Guard’s concepts, a brewery, and a few other restaurants. However, due to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, Guard made the difficult decision to sell the operation to RCI.
In an interview with JS, Guard mentioned that RCI approached him multiple times with increasing offers, ultimately leading to the sale. RCI, a publicly traded company with a portfolio of restaurants and strip bars across the country, saw Grange Hall as an opportunity to introduce their Bombshells sports bar brand, similar to Hooters and Twin Peaks. After the acquisition, RCI rebranded the food hall and revamped its offerings.
Despite the efforts to revitalize the space, RCI has decided to close Cherry Creek Food Hall & Brewery. An executive from RCI was unavailable for immediate comment on the closure.
