Despite the Lions fighting back with a try from Springbok fullback Quan Horn, Montpellier maintained their advantage. Referee Ben Breakspear made some crucial decisions during the game, including yellow-carding Lions lock Etienne Oosthuizen and disallowing a try from Montpellier’s Madosh Tambwe.
Bernadet’s impressive support play and quick thinking led to two more tries for Montpellier, securing the bonus point for the French club. The Lions now look ahead to their final match against the Dragons, while Montpellier faces a quick turnaround as they travel to Newcastle to take on the Falcons.
