CAF reveals opening and closing venues for 2024 CHAN

The Confederation of African Football (CAF), in collaboration with the hosting nations of Kenya, Tanzania, and Uganda, has officially announced the venues for the upcoming CAF African Nations Championship (CHAN) 2024. The tournament is set to take place from 2nd to 30th August 2025, and the selected stadiums for the Opening, Third and Fourth matches, as well as the Final match, have been revealed.

The Benjamin Mkapa Stadium in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, has been chosen to host the opening match of the CHAN 2024. This state-of-the-art stadium will set the stage for an exciting start to the tournament, showcasing the talent and passion of African football.

Moving on to the Third and Fourth match of the competition, the Mandela Stadium in Kampala, Uganda, has been designated as the venue for these crucial games. With its vibrant atmosphere and enthusiastic crowd, the Mandela Stadium is sure to provide a thrilling backdrop for the teams competing for a place on the podium.

Finally, the prestigious Final match of the CHAN 2024 will take place at the Kasarani Stadium in Nairobi, Kenya. This iconic stadium, known for its electrifying atmosphere and top-notch facilities, will host the ultimate showdown between the two best teams in the tournament. Football fans can expect a nail-biting finish to an exhilarating competition.

In addition to the Final match, the Third-Place Match will also be held in Kampala, Uganda, adding to the excitement and competitive spirit of the CHAN 2024.

As the countdown to the tournament begins, football enthusiasts across Africa are eagerly anticipating the action-packed matches that will unfold at these renowned stadiums. With the stage set and the venues confirmed, all eyes will be on Kenya, Tanzania, and Uganda as they prepare to host a memorable and thrilling edition of the CAF African Nations Championship.
