Ayishatu Aminu and Fadilatu Adam Shine at Latex Foam Medal Tournament
Accra, Sept. 1, GNA – Two young golfers, Ayishatu Aminu and Fadilatu Adam, showcased their exceptional skills at the Royal Golf Club in Kumasi to emerge as winners of the August edition of the Latex Foam Medal tournament.
Impressive Performances
Ayishatu Aminu dominated the ladies’ category with a remarkable gross score of 68, securing the top spot. Fadilatu Adam also put up a strong performance, finishing second with a gross score of 72. Zakia Hudu, another beneficiary of the Captain One Golf Society’s Kids Project, clinched the third position with a gross score of 73.
In the men’s Group B, Rytis Preisas emerged victorious with a gross score of 67, followed by John Asafu-Adjaye at 69 and Dominic Darkwa at 70. Meanwhile, in Group A, Bernard Kwasi Dwomoh claimed the top spot with a gross score of 71, with Daniel Ntim and Ekow securing the second and third positions with scores of 72 and 74 respectively.
Gratitude and Aspirations
Ayisha Amidu expressed her gratitude to the Captain One Golf Society for nurturing her talent and providing her with the opportunity to excel in the sport. She highlighted the valuable lessons she has learned from her coaches and expressed her willingness to learn from her seniors and competitors to enhance her skills as she embarks on her golfing journey.
Her outstanding progress in the world of golf has not gone unnoticed, as she was honored with the Discovery of the Year award by the Sports Writers Association of Ghana (SWAG) during their annual awards ceremony.
The future looks bright for Ayishatu Aminu and Fadilatu Adam, as they continue to make strides in the world of golf and inspire other young talents to pursue their passion for the sport.
