Barcelona staged a remarkable comeback against Atletico Madrid in a thrilling La Liga encounter, with Lamine Yamal and Ferran Torres scoring in stoppage time to secure a dramatic victory. The win saw Barcelona leapfrog their opponents and move to the top of the La Liga table.

Atletico Madrid started the game in fine form, taking a 2-0 lead with goals from Julian Alvarez and Alexander Sorloth. Alvarez opened the scoring just before half-time, while Sorloth doubled Atletico’s lead in the 70th minute. It seemed like Atletico would claim all three points and leapfrog Barcelona in the standings.

However, Barcelona had other plans as they mounted a stunning comeback. Robert Lewandowski scored a brilliant goal in the 72nd minute to kickstart the revival. Ferran Torres then equalized with a header from Raphinha’s cross, setting the stage for a thrilling finish.

Atletico had a chance to regain the lead late in the game, but Sorloth missed a golden opportunity to score. Barcelona then capitalized on Atletico’s missed chance, with Lamine Yamal scoring a deflected goal in added time to put Barcelona ahead. Torres sealed the victory with a low finish just before the final whistle.

With the win, Barcelona moved level on points with Real Madrid at the top of the table, but with a game in hand. Atletico Madrid, on the other hand, remain in third place, four points behind the top two teams.

The thrilling encounter showcased Barcelona’s resilience and fighting spirit, as they refused to give up even when facing a two-goal deficit. The victory will give them a huge boost in their title aspirations, while Atletico will be left ruing their missed opportunities.
