An Aurora man has been taken into custody on charges of murder after a tragic incident involving a motorcycle rider in November. Jeremy Austen House, 41, was arrested on suspicion of first-degree murder after deliberation in connection with the death of Dorian Matthew Torrez, according to the Aurora Police Department.

The incident took place on November 18, when House was driving a 2000 Buick Century near the intersection of South Havana Street and East Jewell Avenue. It is alleged that he intentionally crashed into Torrez, who was riding a 2002 Honda motorcycle, before fleeing the scene. Torrez, aged 34, was rushed to the hospital but unfortunately succumbed to his injuries.

Following an investigation, House and another individual, Alexandra Lynn Noorlun, 33, were identified as suspects in the case. The pair barricaded themselves at a residence in the 12200 block of East Kansas Place and eventually surrendered to authorities after a two-hour standoff. Noorlun, also a resident of Aurora, was arrested on charges of being an accessory to a crime and tampering with evidence.

House is currently being held without bail at the Arapahoe County Detention Center and is scheduled to appear in court on Friday. Meanwhile, Noorlun is being held on a $50,000 bail with her next court date yet to be determined.

The Aurora Police Department has stated that the investigation is ongoing and is urging anyone with information related to the case to contact Metro Denver Crime Stoppers at 720-913-7867.
