Manchester United Star Amad Diallo Commits to Club with New Contract Extension
Manchester United’s talented winger, Amad Diallo, has officially signed a new five-and-a-half-year contract, extending his stay at the club until June 2030.
The 22-year-old’s previous contract was due to expire this summer, but after an impressive season with six goals in 27 appearances, United decided to offer him fresh terms.
“I am incredibly proud to have signed this new contract,” said Diallo. “I’ve already experienced some incredible moments here, but I believe there is so much more to come. My goal is to make history at Manchester United and bring pride to our supporters once again.”
Amad Diallo joined Manchester United in 2021 from Atalanta and has since scored nine goals in 50 appearances. Despite a slow start with limited playing time, Diallo’s loan spells at Rangers and Sunderland helped him gain valuable experience.
Following a successful season-long loan at Sunderland where he scored 14 goals in 42 games, United decided to keep Diallo for the 2023-24 season under manager Erik ten Hag.
Despite a setback due to a knee injury during pre-season, Diallo has made a significant impact since his return to the pitch. Memorable moments such as his last-minute winner against Liverpool in the FA Cup quarter-finals and a dramatic goal against Manchester City have solidified his position in the team.
United’s technical director, Jason Wilcox, expressed his excitement about Diallo’s progress, stating, “Amad’s skill, adaptability, and drive make him a key player for our future plans. His best years are still ahead of him.”
Recently, Diallo showcased his importance to the team with a crucial equalizer against Liverpool at Anfield, underlining his growing influence and contribution to Manchester United’s future endeavors.
