Nigerian Industrial Conglomerate BUA Group Clarifies Refinery Completion Status

BUA Group, a prominent Nigerian industrial conglomerate, has recently addressed claims regarding the completion status of its 200,000 barrels per day refinery located in Akwa Ibom.

The management of BUA Group released a statement on Sunday, refuting the assertion that the refinery is 90% completed. Instead, they emphasized that the construction is progressing steadily and that they are on track to meet the delivery timelines in collaboration with their partners.

According to the statement, the BUA Refinery & Petrochemicals project is a significant milestone in enhancing Nigeria’s refining capacity and energy security. Additionally, the company highlighted the progress of their other energy projects, including the construction of a mini-LNG plant and several new hybrid power plants across the country to augment their existing 1,000MW installed captive power generation capacity.

The company urged the public to verify any news through their official channels to avoid being misled by misinformation spread by mischievous individuals.

BUA Group also highlighted the completion of over $3.5 billion worth of mega industrial projects in the past decade, underscoring their commitment to transparency and excellence. The company assured stakeholders that they would continue to provide accurate and verifiable information as milestones are achieved.

Expressing appreciation for the public’s interest and enthusiasm for the refinery project, BUA Group reiterated its dedication to delivering impactful projects that contribute to Nigeria’s economic development.
