President Wavel Ramkalawan has announced the resignation of Mr. Naadir Hassan from his position as Minister of Finance, Economy Planning, and Trade.
Speaking at a press conference held at State House, President Ramkalawan expressed his gratitude to Minister Hassan for his dedicated service to the nation in this crucial portfolio.
Following Mr. Hassan’s departure, Vice President Mr. Ahmed Afif will now oversee the Ministry of Finance, Economy Planning, and Trade.
Upon leaving the government at the end of January 2025, Minister Hassan will take on the role of Chairperson of the Board of the Islands Development Company (IDC).
Furthermore, President Ramkalawan announced the appointment of Mr. Cyril Bonnelame as the new Chief Executive Officer of the Islands Development Company (IDC).
Plans for future restructuring within the government will be revealed early next year.
