Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has issued a warning regarding the potential involvement of North Korea in aiding Russia’s army in the ongoing conflict in Ukraine. Zelensky expressed concerns that North Korea may be planning to send more troops and military equipment to support Russia, following reports of over 3,000 North Korean soldiers being killed and wounded in the fighting.

The Ukrainian leader received a report from his top military commander indicating the risks of North Korea sending additional troops and weapons to the Russian army. Zelensky stated that there have been significantly higher casualties among North Korean troops than previously reported, with an estimated 3,000 soldiers affected. This number surpasses the figures provided by South Korea’s intelligence agencies.

While Russia has not officially acknowledged the presence of North Korean troops in Ukraine, Zelensky has alleged that Russian soldiers have been involved in concealing the losses of their Korean counterparts. Reports have emerged of Russian soldiers mutilating the bodies of fallen North Korean soldiers, further exacerbating the tensions in the conflict.

Despite initial denials from North Korea regarding its involvement in the fighting, it has been revealed that an estimated 12,000 North Korean troops have been deployed to support Russia in Ukraine. Additionally, Pyongyang is said to be planning to provide more weapons, including suicide drones, to aid Russian forces on the ground.

In light of these developments, Zelensky has called for increased support from international allies to counteract North Korea’s interference in the conflict. He emphasized the importance of effectively pressuring those who destabilize the situation and cause harm, highlighting the need for global solidarity in restoring stability and protecting lives.

The situation in Ukraine remains complex and volatile, with the involvement of North Korean troops adding another layer of complexity to the conflict. Zelensky’s warnings underscore the seriousness of the situation and the urgent need for coordinated efforts to address the escalating crisis.

This article is based on reports from various sources and highlights the ongoing challenges faced by Ukraine in its struggle against Russian aggression. The international community must remain vigilant and proactive in responding to the evolving dynamics of the conflict to prevent further escalation and loss of life.
