Missy Kraft, an Eagle resident, embarked on her first flight out of Eagle County Regional Airport on Monday, eager to catch a Frontier Airlines flight to Denver. Packed and ready, Kraft was on her way to Arizona to be present for the birth of her daughter’s twins.
Expressing her enthusiasm for the convenience of the flight, Kraft noted that it saved her a substantial amount of time and hassle. “It’s amazing,” she remarked. “I was able to work earlier. I didn’t have to drive to Denver.”
As Kraft awaited her departure on the Frontier Airbus A320, the inbound flight arrived with 62 passengers, many of whom were connecting from other destinations before heading to Eagle County. These passengers were welcomed with a spread of cookies, cupcakes, and various gifts, including sunglasses and beer koozies.
The warm reception was a memorable start for passengers as Frontier Airlines made its debut at Eagle County Regional Airport. However, amidst the excitement, there were reports of union pilots threatening to strike, adding a layer of uncertainty to the airline’s operations.
