After signing up for Fellow, I was prompted to set up my preferences and choose a meeting language. The platform offers a variety of agenda templates for different meeting types, making it easy to structure your discussions.

I created a meeting and added a Google Meet link for the attendees. Fellow also allows you to attach files and assign talking points to participants. During the meeting, Fellow automatically recorded and transcribed the conversation in real time.

My observations

Strengths

The platform seamlessly integrates with Google Meet, allowing for easy meeting setup and recording.
The real-time transcription feature was accurate and helpful for capturing key points and action items during the meeting.

Weaknesses

The platform can feel overwhelming with its many features and options.
The transcription accuracy could be improved, especially in noisy environments.

Testing results

Transcription accuracy: 75%
Real-time performance: 8/10
Summarization quality: 8/10
Ease of use: 7.5/10
Feature completeness: 9/10
Overall score: 8.5/10

In conclusion, Fellow is a powerful AI meeting assistant that offers a comprehensive set of features for managing and optimizing meetings. With its customizable agenda templates, real-time transcription, and meeting analytics, Fellow is a valuable tool for improving meeting efficiency and collaboration. After the meeting, you’ll receive AI summaries, transcripts, and action items, which can be exported to other tools for further collaboration and follow-up.

When I tried out Fellow, I found the sign-up process to be straightforward, especially when using the web version. The app is clean and easy to navigate, making it simple to schedule meetings directly within Fellow. During the meeting, Fellow provides useful stats like attendee information and talk time per person. The Fellow AI was able to accurately answer follow-up questions and produce summaries in multiple languages.

However, there were some limitations to Fellow. For instance, I couldn’t paste an external link to join a meeting and had to schedule it directly within the app. Additionally, there was no real-time transcript during the meeting, and the quality of both the audio and transcripts was just fair. Summaries were brief, and notes and action items were not auto-generated. There were also some inaccuracies in the native language detection feature.

In comparison, MeetGeek also offers meeting recording and transcription features, along with an AI chat function for asking questions. The sign-up process was similar to Fellow, but I found that MeetGeek had a longer load time for certain features. The transcript quality was good, and the AI chat was helpful for finding specific details within the transcripts. However, there was no live transcript or summary view, and I couldn’t find transcripts easily within the app.

Overall, Fellow and MeetGeek offer unique features and functionalities for recording and transcribing meetings. Fireflies, Otter, and Krisp are other AI notetaking tools that provide various features such as real-time transcription, AI summaries, and integration with other work tools. Each tool has its strengths and weaknesses, so it’s important to choose the one that best fits your meeting needs and workflow preferences.

These tools offer features like recording, transcription, collaboration, and analytics to help you stay on top of your meetings.

MeetGeek is one such AI notetaking tool that offers a range of useful features. From recording and transcription to collaboration and AI chat, MeetGeek has everything you need to streamline your meeting notes. The tool provides weekly digests and trend reports across multiple meetings, making it easy to stay organized.

This can be invaluable for improving team performance and driving better outcomes from your meetings. Additionally, MeetGeek’s Clips and Reels feature allows you to create clips and reels from meeting recaps, making it easy to share key takeaways with your team.
