The T1 Phone 8002 (Gold Version)

Named the T1 Phone 8002 (gold version), the device is priced at $499 with pre-orders available for a $100 deposit. The phone is set to be released in September.

The unveiling of the phone is part of an initiative to attract Trump supporters away from major telecom providers and wireless network services. The 47 Plan, offering 5G service through T-Mobile, Verizon, and AT&T for $47.45 a month, includes telemedicine, unlimited texting plans with 100 countries, and roadside assistance.

‘Change the Game’

The announcement of the Trump Mobile was made in a statement by The Trump Organization, headed by Eric Trump, the son of President Donald Trump. Donald Trump Jr., Executive Vice President of The Trump Organization, expressed confidence in the product, stating that it will offer high-quality service and put America first.

‘Sloppy’

The T1 Phone is marketed as being “proudly designed and built in the United States.” However, doubts have been raised about the feasibility of such a quick manufacturing process in the US. The Verge pointed out discrepancies in the information provided on the Trump Mobile website.

Targeting Apple?

The launch of the T1 Phone coincides with escalating tensions between the Trump administration and Apple. President Trump threatened Apple with a 25% tariff on iPhones not manufactured in the US, urging CEO Tim Cook to relocate production from Asia to the US.

China

Although Apple designs its products in the US, most iPhone assembly takes place at the Foxconn factory in China. Despite Apple’s plans to shift production to other countries like India, President Trump remains adamant that iPhones sold in the US must be made in America.

The introduction of the T1 Phone marks a significant move by The Trump Organization to enter the smartphone market and cater to supporters of President Trump.
