As a passionate tech journalist and self-proclaimed nerd, I always find myself carrying a plethora of gadgets wherever I go. With all these devices requiring charging, I always look for a way to charge them all simultaneously. Luckily, most of my gadgets can be charged via USB-C, but this still means carrying multiple cables.

The inevitable tangling of these cables used to be a constant issue for me, resulting in a frustrating mess of intertwined cords. However, my life changed for the better when I stumbled upon these retractable 100W USB-C cables on Amazon for just £10.99. It may sound like an exaggeration, but these cables have truly been a game-changer for me.

Despite their affordable price, you get two cables in a pack, each measuring 1m in length. This ensures that they are long enough to comfortably charge a wide range of devices.

You might be skeptical about their durability, as I was initially. However, after using them daily for over a year, I can confidently say that they have proven to be extremely reliable. They still retract smoothly and efficiently, effortlessly charging my MacBook Pro at over 90W every time.

The cables are designed with a flat shape and come neatly wound on a small plastic spool, approximately 4cm in diameter. To extend the cable, simply pull from each end evenly. You can extend it to the full 120cm length or stop at one of several preset shorter lengths. When not in use, a gentle tug on each end retracts the cable back into the spool for convenient storage.

This innovative design ensures that you never have more cable than necessary, eliminating the hassle of tangled cords and messy desk spaces. The compact spool makes it easy to pack up and carry the cables without any hassle.

In terms of specifications, these cables are equipped with a 100W E-Mark chip and support PD 3.0, QuickCharge 3.0, and up to 20V/5A charging. Additionally, they support data transfer, allowing you to transfer files between devices seamlessly.

The best part? These cables are incredibly affordable at just £11 for a pack of two 100W retractable 1.2m USB-C cables on Amazon. I personally own four of these cables and have been considering purchasing more. Whether I’m at home or on the go, these cables have truly been the best I’ve ever used.
