Chime, a fintech giant based in San Francisco, recently announced its new lease at Bromley Companies’ 122 Fifth Ave, marking the expansion of its presence in New York City. The company will be moving to a larger space of 84,000 square feet from its current location at 101 Greenwich St, with additional space in Midtown.

The lease at 122 Fifth was secured at an asking rent of $96 per square foot, with Newmark representing the landlord and Cresa representing the tenant. This move comes as part of Chime’s continued growth and expansion in the Big Apple.

The 300,000 square-foot Flatiron building, where 122 Fifth Ave is located, has seen significant improvements and repositioning, leading to more than 90% occupancy. Microsoft is currently the largest tenant in the building.

Nicholas Haines, CEO of Bromley Companies, expressed confidence in attracting tech companies like Chime to the reimagined space at 122 Fifth. The building now offers state-of-the-art loft office space, wellness features, and a water tower terrace roof, making it an attractive destination for innovative companies.

Overall, Chime’s new lease at 122 Fifth represents a significant milestone in the company’s growth trajectory, with a focus on expanding its footprint in key markets like New York City. The move to a larger space reflects Chime’s commitment to providing a dynamic and collaborative work environment for its employees.
