‘Experience Key for Sundowns in Title Race,’ Says Defender Mosa Lebusa

Mamelodi Sundowns defender Mosa Lebusa credits experience as a crucial factor in the team’s pursuit of an eighth consecutive Betway Premiership title. With Orlando Pirates hot on their heels this season, Sundowns have relied on their seasoned players to maintain composure and deliver results on the pitch.

Following a convincing 3-0 victory over Chippa United at Loftus Stadium, Sundowns now sit 12 points clear of Pirates at the top of the table. Lebusa, who was awarded the Man-of-the-Match accolade, emphasized the importance of securing maximum points as they approach the business end of the season.

Reflecting on the pressure of defending their title, Lebusa acknowledged the challenges that come with maintaining a high level of performance throughout the season. “Even in the beginning, it is difficult,” he admitted. “We always try to measure ourselves against the previous season and ensure we are on track. Fatigue can also be a factor, but we have been in this position before and know how to handle it. Taking it one game at a time is crucial for our success.”

As Sundowns continue their march towards another championship, Lebusa’s leadership and experience will be key in guiding the team to victory. With a strong mentality and a focus on the task at hand, Sundowns are well-positioned to secure the title once again.
