Man’s Alarming “Prank” Goes Horribly Wrong
A recent incident in South Carolina took a terrifying turn when a man attempted to “prank” his ex-girlfriend by hiding in her shower and emerging with a knife. The shocking ordeal unfolded when the woman returned home unexpectedly, only to be faced with a naked man, later identified as Jackson Collum Arnold, who had covered his face with her bike shorts and a hat.
According to reports, Arnold brandished a knife and pretended to harm the woman, even going as far as choking her during the distressing encounter. The victim, fearing for her life, managed to push Arnold away and remove the items covering his face, only to discover that the assailant was her former boyfriend.
Arnold later claimed that he had intended to surprise his ex-girlfriend and “lighten the mood” after a previous argument they had over text that same night. However, his actions left the victim traumatized and in fear for her safety.
Police arrived at the scene after a 911 call and found Arnold wearing jeans, with his underwear left in the bathroom. It was also revealed that Arnold may have been tracking the victim’s location using the Life360 app, as he had left his phone at home.

Arnold was arrested and charged with assault and battery, first-degree burglary, and possession of a weapon during a violent crime. The chilling incident serves as a stark reminder of the potential dangers of ill-conceived pranks and the importance of respecting boundaries in relationships.
