Musician Muzi’s Unexpected Adventure as David Blaine’s Fixer

South African musician Muzi has been making waves in the music industry with his unique blend of traditional Zulu spirituality and electronic music. But his career took an unexpected turn when he found himself moonlighting as a fixer for illusionist David Blaine’s new show, ‘David Blaine: Do Not Attempt’.

Having grown up watching David Blaine’s daring stunts on television, Muzi never imagined that he would be part of such an incredible experience. The National Geographic series takes viewers on a journey to extreme locations around the world, showcasing feats of physical endurance and human ability.

As a fixer for the South African episode of the show, Muzi’s role was to guide the production team to visually powerful and spiritually resonant locations. From wild game reserves to traditional ceremonies, Muzi’s local knowledge and cultural insight added a unique perspective to the filming process.

While his collaboration with David Blaine may have come as a surprise, Muzi is no stranger to global crossover. With festival performances across continents and collaborations with artists like Coldplay’s Chris Martin, Muzi’s musical influence is steadily growing.

His creative process is a sensory experience, drawing inspiration from visuals, sounds, and emotions. Muzi records his music at home and refines it at Flame Studios on Constitutional Hill, where he crafted tracks for the soundtrack of ‘Do Not Attempt’.

Working with David Blaine, Muzi was impressed by the illusionist’s discipline and humility. Despite facing dangerous situations, Blaine remained focused and open to learning, showcasing a level of mastery that left a lasting impact on Muzi.

With his unique sound and creative vision, Muzi is poised to continue pushing boundaries and making a mark on the global music scene. His unexpected adventure with David Blaine is just one chapter in his journey to superstardom.
