The latest physical exam results for former President Donald Trump have been released, showing that at 78 years old, he is “fully fit” to serve as commander in chief. Trump’s physician, Navy Capt. Sean Barbabella, highlighted the impact of Trump’s active lifestyle on his well-being. The exam, conducted on Friday, revealed that Trump has lost 20 pounds since his last checkup in 2020, bringing his weight down to 224 pounds.

Barbabella’s three-page summary stated that Trump is in good health and capable of carrying out his duties as president. Trump’s BMI has also improved, dropping to 28.0, which categorizes him as overweight compared to his previous status of obesity with a BMI of 30.5 in 2020.

The report mentioned that Trump had previous cataract surgery on both eyes, a common procedure for aging individuals. Additionally, a colonoscopy in July 2024 revealed a benign polyp and diverticulosis, a condition common in older individuals that rarely causes issues.

Trump once again aced the Montreal Cognitive Assessment test, a screening tool for brain function. He also underwent screenings for depression and anxiety, with normal scores reported. Trump expressed confidence in his health, stating that he felt he was in very good shape and that he had performed well on the cognitive test.

The former president’s cholesterol levels have improved over time, aided by medications. His total cholesterol currently stands at 140, a significant improvement from previous readings. Trump’s blood pressure was slightly elevated at 128 over 74, indicating a potential risk for developing high blood pressure if not managed.

Barbabella also noted minor sun damage on Trump’s skin and benign lesions, with no concerning growths detected. Scarring from a gunshot wound on his right ear during an assassination attempt in July 2024 was also confirmed. The examination, conducted at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center, involved consultations with 14 specialists.

Despite being the oldest person elected to the presidency, Trump remains in good health compared to his younger successor, Joe Biden. Trump’s health has been a subject of scrutiny, with his medical information often kept private. The release of his physical exam results aims to reassure the public about his well-being.

Overall, the report paints a picture of a healthy and active former president, ready to continue his public engagements and golf tournaments. Trump’s commitment to maintaining his health and fitness, along with regular medical checkups, reflects his determination to stay in top form for his age. Dr. Kevin Barbabella is a distinguished military physician who has been honored with two of the military’s highest awards – the Purple Heart and the Legion of Merit. These prestigious accolades are a testament to his dedication and service to his country.

Barbabella holds the unique distinction of being the third consecutive osteopathic doctor to serve as physician to the president. Following in the footsteps of Biden’s doctor and one of the doctors who cared for Trump during his first term, Barbabella brings a wealth of experience and expertise to his role. Prior to his appointment as physician to the president, Barbabella ran a naval health clinic in Havelock, North Carolina, where he provided care to military personnel and their families.

As he takes on the important responsibility of caring for the president’s health, Barbabella brings with him a wealth of knowledge and experience. His military background and his track record of excellence make him a trusted and respected medical professional within the White House.

In conclusion, Dr. Kevin Barbabella’s impressive military career and his prestigious awards highlight his commitment to serving his country and his dedication to providing top-notch medical care to those in need. His role as physician to the president is a testament to his skills and expertise, and he continues to uphold the highest standards of healthcare in his service to the nation.
