Manchester United Continues to Struggle Despite Recent Takeover

Manchester United, once a powerhouse in English football, is currently facing one of the worst crises in its history. The recent takeover by Jim Ratcliffe has not been able to turn the tide for the club, as they find themselves languishing in 15th place in the Premier League standings. The fans are growing increasingly frustrated with the team’s performance, and tensions are running high within the club.

Reports from The Mirror suggest that Jim Ratcliffe and Sir Dave Brailsford, the sporting director of Ineos, are finding it challenging to steer the club in the right direction. Constant comparisons to the successful era under Sir Alex Ferguson are hindering the club’s progress, according to Brailsford. The weight of past glories is making it difficult for Manchester United to establish a new winning culture and move forward.

One of the most surprising revelations is that some individuals within the club are pointing fingers at Ferguson himself for the team’s struggles in recent years. His influence, especially in recruitment and managerial decisions, is seen as a barrier to adopting modern football strategies. Despite stepping back from his ambassadorial role last year, Ferguson’s legacy continues to cast a shadow over Old Trafford.
