Sheikh Shakhboot Bin Nahyan Meets Rwandan President to Strengthen Bilateral Relations

The Minister of State for Foreign Affairs of the United Arab Emirates, His Excellency Sheikh Shakhboot Bin Nahyan Al Nahyan, recently met with the President of Rwanda, His Excellency Paul Kagame, in the capital city of Kigali. The purpose of the meeting was to discuss ways to enhance the bilateral relations between the UAE and Rwanda across various fields of mutual interest.

During the meeting, His Excellency Sheikh Shakhboot Bin Nahyan conveyed the greetings and well wishes of UAE President Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, and Vice President Sheikh Mansour Bin Zayed Al Nahyan to President Kagame. In return, President Kagame extended his greetings to the UAE leadership and commended the strong relations between Rwanda and the UAE. Both leaders expressed their desire for further growth and prosperity for each other’s countries.

The discussion between His Excellency Sheikh Shakhboot Bin Nahyan and President Kagame focused on opportunities to strengthen cooperation between the UAE and Rwanda in various sectors. They emphasized the importance of the partnership and reaffirmed their commitment to expanding collaboration to serve mutual interests. Additionally, His Excellency Sheikh Shakhboot Bin Nahyan also held discussions with Rwanda’s Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, His Excellency Olivier Nduhungirehe, to explore avenues for enhancing bilateral relations.

This meeting comes in the wake of President Kagame’s recent visit to the UAE, where he participated in Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week. The visit highlights the ongoing efforts to strengthen ties between the UAE and Rwanda, contributing to sustainable development and shared prosperity for both nations.
