The 2025 Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards (AMVCA) in Lagos, Nigeria, was a dazzling celebration of African cinema and fashion. Among the stars who shone brightest were four Ghanaian icons whose red carpet appearances captivated audiences and set new standards in style and cultural expression.

The 2025 Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards (AMVCA) is more than just a glamorous event; it is a heartfelt tribute to the resilience, creativity, and spirit of Africa’s entertainment industry. As the 11th edition unfolds, we are reminded of the journey that began in 2013, where the AMVCA set out to honor the storytellers who bring our diverse cultures and experiences to life. This year’s ceremony is not only a celebration of artistic excellence but also a testament to the growth and impact of African cinema and television on a global scale.

Here are 4 Ghanaians that made heartwarming appearances:

1. Nana Akua Addo: A Futuristic Vision in Motion

Nana Akua never misses! The Ghanaian actress, fashion influencer, and stylist turned heads with her avant-garde ensemble—a rotating, futuristic gown designed by Nicoline GH in collaboration with metal artist Saurabhsingh Rawat. The gown featured dynamic, fan-like elements that moved with the wearer, creating a mesmerizing visual effect. Priced at approximately $11,000, the outfit was a testament to the fusion of fashion and technology, embodying the theme of innovation at the AMVCA.

2. Chris Nunies: Honouring Nollywood Legends

Stylist Chris Nunies made a poignant statement by incorporating images of late Nollywood stars, including Mr. Ibu, Junior Pope, and Muna Obiekwe, into his ensemble. This tribute not only honored the legacies of these actors but also showcased Nunies’ creative approach to fashion as a form of storytelling.

3. Juliet Ibrahim: Elegance from Afar

Although unable to attend in person, actress Juliet Ibrahim made her presence felt through a stunning custom outfit by Lakimmy Fashion. The ensemble, accompanied by a luxury hand fan and accessories, exuded regal charm. Her virtual appearance was a testament to her enduring influence in the entertainment industry.

4. Majid Michel: A Decade Later, Still Dazzling

Actor Majid Michel returned to the AMVCA after a ten-year hiatus, bringing with him a refined and charismatic presence. His choice of attire, marked by understated elegance, demonstrated his timeless appeal and solidified his status as a fashion icon.

These Ghanaian luminaries not only showcased their individual styles but also highlighted the rich cultural tapestry of Ghana through their fashion choices at the AMVCA. Their appearances were a celebration of creativity, heritage, and the power of fashion to tell compelling stories.
