*Popular Food Critic Keith Lee, who travels the country eating at different restaurants, will return to Atlanta for his 2024 Redemption Food Tour.
“We decided as a family, we’re gonna do a redemption tour,” Lee said in a TikTok video. “Last year, we went to about 10 states on a family food tour. This year, we went to about three so far. And we discussed as a family that it’s only right to do a redemption tour, because the states we did this year were different rules, different categories and different structures.”
Lee claims he received death threats late last year after reviewing various soul food restaurants in Atlanta with his family. As SandraRose.com reported, Lee appeared on the “Ryan Cameron Uncensored,” podcast and said he won’t return to Atlanta because “People there put a hit out on me.”
Lee said his future visits would involve being accompanied by armed and licensed individuals as part of his revised security measures.
“We come in peace — with that being said, we will be protected,” Lee said in the video. “There will be people with us who are legal and licensed. We don’t want to have to use them, but we will. My family will get home safe.”

It is unclear when Lee will officially return to Atlanta, but he did say it would be “soon.”
Lee boasts 18 million followers on TikTok, and his food reviews have been featured on major news programs, including Inside Edtion. He has reviewed The Real Milk & Honey, Juci Jerk, Atlanta Breakfast Club, Lil Baby’s The Seafood Menu, and most recently, Kandi Burruss’ ‘Old Lady Gang’ restaurant.
In an interview with TODAY.com, Lee explained his journey to becoming a viral sensation.
“It took two years to get to 1.6 million. It took three months to get to 11 million and within those three months, I started doing full reviews every day,” Lee said. “I’m a foodie. I think I brought back natural foodies in the space of food critics. Most of the critics are polished and they only go to certain restaurants and they go to certain spots. They only stay in a certain niche.”
