One lane of southbound Interstate 25 has reopened after a diesel fuel tanker overturned Saturday morning in Douglas County at Castle Pines Parkway.
The tanker truck crash was reported at 3:35 a.m., and it was only vehicle involved, South Metro Fire Rescue announced on X. The driver suffered serious injuries, responders said.
A hazardous materials team is at the location of the crash, where approximately 2,500 gallons of diesel spilled from the tanker, which has an 8,000-gallon capacity, South Metro said.
The Colorado Department of Transportation recommends using Hess Road, Colorado 83 and Colorado 86 as a detour.
