Multiple fire crews are responding to a 150-acre wildfire burning on the south end of the U.S. Air Force Academy grounds near Colorado Springs.
The fire started about 1 p.m. Sunday and is burning west of the Pine housing area; No homes are threatened as of a 5:30 p.m. update posted by the Academy on X, but pre-evacuation instructions are being disseminated.
The CSFD is aware of a fire burning on @AF_Academy grounds. At this time CSFD has not been requested to help.

The Colorado Springs Fire Department is assisting the Academy’s fire response teams, Academy spokesperson Katherine Spessa said.
At least five Colorado Springs fire crews and 32 personnel were responding, according to a fire department post on X.
