Eastbound Interstate 70 is closed at Vail for safety concerns as a winter storm moves into the mountains, according to the Colorado Department of Transportation.
The highway closed at 8:36 p.m., according to the agency.
Most mountain passes are forecast to receive at least a foot of snow between Friday night and Sunday morning, according to the National Weather Service.
