[3] According to Save the Children’s analysis, the one in three children out of school in conflict or fragile countries is significantly higher than the global rate of one in 10 children missing out on education.

[4] Countries like Sudan, Gaza, and Nigeria are facing particular challenges in education due to conflicts, climate disasters, and other factors leading to high numbers of children out of school.

[5] The increase in attacks on education and military use of schools, as well as climate-related disruptions, have further exacerbated the challenges faced by children in conflict-affected or fragile countries.

[6] Save the Children is calling for urgent action from world leaders to prioritize education in emergencies, ensure funding requirements are met, and implement measures to protect schools from attacks and military use.

Overall, the situation for children in conflict or fragile countries is dire, with millions missing out on education due to various factors. Save the Children is working to provide support and advocate for the rights of these children, but more needs to be done to ensure every child has access to safe, quality education.

It is crucial for the international community to come together and prioritize the education of children in conflict-affected or fragile countries, as it is not only their right but also a key factor in building a more peaceful and prosperous future for all.

By addressing the root causes of conflict, investing in education, and ensuring the protection of schools, we can help ensure that every child has the opportunity to learn, grow, and thrive, regardless of their circumstances.

Together, we can make a difference and ensure that no child is left behind, especially in times of crisis and conflict.

Let’s stand up for the rights of children everywhere and work towards a brighter future for all.

According to a recent analysis, data on out-of-school children was not available for Libya, Kosovo, Marshall Islands, Tuvalu, and Kiribati. This means that 34 countries were included in the analysis, highlighting the lack of education data for some regions.

Globally, approximately 251 million children are out of school, as reported by UNESCO. These children have been deprived of education due to various factors such as climate disasters, poverty, conflict, disability, and gender inequality. This staggering number underscores the urgent need to address the barriers that prevent children from accessing quality education.

It is crucial to recognize the importance of education in empowering children and providing them with opportunities for a better future. By addressing the root causes of why children are out of school, we can work towards ensuring that every child has the right to education.

In conclusion, the global issue of out-of-school children requires immediate attention and action. By working together to tackle the barriers to education, we can create a brighter future for all children around the world.
