Rapper and author Jeezy is speaking out following infidelity insinuations made by his soon-to-be ex-wife Jeannie Mai’s legal team.
As reported by The Root last week, Mai alluded to possible infidelity from Jeezy in her attempt to amend her counter claim against his divorce filing by adding other “grounds for divorce.” While her lawyers didn’t want to specify exactly what those grounds were, it became crystal clear and looks to have a major effect on their prenuptial agreement.
“Wife further shows that the Court should enforce Paragraph 8 of the Prenuptial Agreement regarding infidelity which provides, in pertinent part, that in the event that either party engages in sexual relations, an emotional relationship, or is emotionally or sexually suggestive in communication with a third party via all forms of electronic communications, including but not limited to texting, sexting, Facetiming, social media and/or Direct Messages, shall result in a significant financial penalty upon the adulterous party,” court documents read.
In a statement to US Weekly, Jeezy denied any and all claims of infidelity: “Any claim of infidelity on Mr. Jenkins’ behalf are 100 percent false and we have no further statements at this time,” his representative told the publication.
On Monday’s episode of “The Jennifer Hudson Show,” Mai revealed that she found out about her divorce at the same time the world did and that she’s dedicated to rebuilding and focusing on raising their nearly 2-year-old daughter Monaco.
“When I found out that my marriage was ending in divorce, I was gutted,” she said. “So today, it’s about picking up the pieces. It’s about discovering me and being a mom to the best blessing in my life, my little girl.”
