Two individuals have been taken into custody on suspicion of first-degree murder following a tragic incident in Green Valley Ranch, Denver. Ashley Stone, 38, and David Bland, 39, are believed to have shot into a vehicle, resulting in the death of the driver and injuries to a passenger and two children after the vehicle crashed and rolled.

The Denver Police Department reported that the suspects allegedly followed the victims’ car and opened fire after an altercation between Stone and a female passenger in the vehicle. The incident unfolded near East 38th Avenue and North Odessa Street, where officers responded to a single-vehicle crash at approximately 3:42 p.m. Upon further investigation, it was determined that the male driver had sustained gunshot wounds prior to the crash.

Tragically, the driver succumbed to his injuries at the scene, while the female passenger and two children were rushed to the hospital with undisclosed injuries. Authorities believe that Stone and Bland were acquainted with the victims, as stated in a news release by the Denver Police Department.

The identity of the deceased individual will be disclosed by the Denver Office of the Medical Examiner, and the Denver District Attorney’s Office will be responsible for determining the final charges in the case. Both Stone and Bland are currently detained at the Downtown Detention Center, with their upcoming court appearances pending confirmation.
